The second re-released album from the Scottish band The Almighty, hailing from Glasgow, is their second album from 1991, and it is being released on colored 180-gram Vinyl. The Almighty, who have clearly evolved compared to their debut, begin with the opening track 'Crucify' featuring thundering Van Halen-like drums and a Heavy Metal riff reminiscent of Motörhead/Diamond Head, before venturing into groovier waters with 'Praying To the Red Light' and 'Devil's Toy'. Surprisingly, it was produced by Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, and in May 1991, frontman Ricky Warwick stated to The Daily Record, 'The album is about four fundamental things - hate, love, religion, and sex. All of these themes fascinate me, especially sex...' Themes that are as timeless as this album is.
