Excellent Service

Apart from the title "Official live: 101 proof", the cover designed like a Whiskey label is emblazoned with the slogan "pure against the grain American metal". Pantera deliver a great live performance as well as two new studio tracks on this album from 1997.

    I Can't Hide

by Holger (null) Just like their Brooklyn collegues from Biohazard the combo around Phil Anselmo present their first official live album "Official live 101 proof". The songs were recorded on Pantera's last world tour and give an outline of the last 4 albums. Apart from hits like "Walk", "This love", "I'm broken", "Cowboys from hell" and my personal fave "Cemetary gates" the album contains smashers such as "New level", "Becoming", "5 minutes alone", "Sandblasted skin", "Suicide note Pt.2", "War nerve", "DOM/Hollow", "Strenght beyond strength" and "Fucking hostile" as well as two brandnew studiotracks "Where you came from" and "I can't hide". These two songs will satisfy fans but I still claim that just like the last 2 albums they can't reach the classics "Cowboys from hell" or "Vulgar display...". The production of the live tracks on the other hand is almost perfect.
