The "Box of the wicked" comes as Hardcover boxset (13 x 4,5 x 14,5 cm). It contains the digipaks of "Framing armageddon", "Crucible of man", "Overture of the wicked"-Maxi-CD (incl. new recorded songs with Tim "Ripper" Owens on the mike) and "I walk among you"-Maxi-CD (with new recorded songs). The bonus-CD in cardboard slipcase contains a new recorded version of "A charge to keep" with Matt Barlow on the mike and 3 further, up to now unreleased live tracks. The whole is completed with a 12 paged booklet with new photo material and liner notes. With A-1 poster.

by Matthias Mader (22.02.2010) There was a time in the 90s when I had the feeling Iced Earth would be the next big thing in traditional Heavy Metal, following the footsteps of Iron Maiden, being their heir apparent... Well, 2010, Steve Harris & Co. still are the biggest Metal band on earth. Iced Earth, though, didn't quite develop like I had thought. Anyway, for me they're still one of the most talented Metal acts. "Box of the wicked", filled to the rim with goodies, demonstrates that impressively, containing the albums "Framing armageddon" and "The crucible of man" in a digipak version, plus the two singles "Overture of the wicked" (four songs) and "I walk among you" ( three songs). That's what I call a full box... But the special gem in it is a bonus CD featuring 5 live takes, so far unreleased, from Graspop festival 2008. Want more? Also included are a 12-page booklet with liner notes by Jon Schaffer and a stylish poster. Be wicked - get one of those boxes!
